Coin Journey

A Military Couple, both of whom are Veterans who have proudly served our country, has been entrusted with the Coin as they work diligently with our Veterans and military personnel. Their passion for supporting fellow service members is evident in their commitment to this important cause.

Blue Grass, Iowa

The coin was awarded to a remarkable couple dedicated to serving our community and supporting veterans. As part of the Red, White, and Blue (RWB) running club, their mission focuses on enhancing the lives of veterans by fostering connections through physical and social activities. The families involved are deeply rooted in military and veteran traditions. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for their invaluable contributions.

Youngsville, Louisiana

I donated the coin to the Quad City Veterans Outreach Center, an organization dedicated to providing over 6,000 veterans with completely free services and goods to address their needs. This center operates entirely with volunteers who raise their own funds to support our veterans. Their mission is to 'Honor and Assist those who have Served and Sacrificed for our Country. We extend our appreciation to the board and all volunteers involved in this commendable effort.

Enlisting at the young age of 16 1/2, he served as a Marine during World War II. Stationed in the Guam Islands, he bravely fought in battle, sustaining injuries that resulted in two gunshot wounds—one to his shoulder and another to his leg. For his sacrifices, Emerson was awarded the Purple Heart, recognizing his valor in combat. After the war, he returned home to raise a family, instilling in them the values of patriotism and respect for those who served. His legacy of military service runs deep, with his brother and brother-in-law also having served in WWII, and family members dating back to World War I and beyond, including service in Korea.
